Solar Car Finishes Round the World Journey

Hey, remember Louis Palmer with his charming Swiss accent and his Solar Taxi? He’s been on a trip around the world, driving his two seater solar panel powered car literally all the way around the world.

This week he completed the journey, and the poetically apt finish line was the U.N. climate conference in Poznan, Poland. In keeping with his “taxi” motif, Palmer carpooled with U.N. climate official Yvo de Boer.

Palmer, a teacher and “adventurer” has been on the road for 17 months, went through 38 countries and clocked 32,000 miles, all “without a drop of petrol”. He’s additionally given rides to by 1,000 society in his quest

to familiarize the folk and the famous with the benefits of solar potential.

Congratulations to Palmer, and a big “Heads Up” to all of the delegates in Poznan — that one guy just proved how simple it is travel and produce zero emissions. Be aggressive! Set high goals! Forget that 10% reduction crap! Go big or go home!

Seriously. sufficient screwing around with half measures. Where’s my solar powered car? And can I get it in black?
