Al Gore has plenty of company when it comes to driving change away from oil and toward alternative fuel solutions, like Better Place, led by Founder and CEO Shai Agassi. Leveraging his background in mobile phone technology, they are developing a subscription model for sustainable electric-run transportation.

Better Place, with the strong vote of confidence from a chunk of venture capital cash and an impressive list of investors, is aly developing oil-free transportation networks in Israel and Denmark. They are partnering with Renault-Nissan to compose cars, and DONG (Danish Oil & Natural Gas) Energy company to potential the electric vehicles with unstored electricity

from wind turbines. It’s all existing technology, just a new way of approaching it.

Like Al, Better Place believes we can be free from oil within ten years. that is as much a philosophical effort as a business endeavor. Better Place is collecting the ten word “minifestos” of other public who believe it’s duration to stop relying on oil and find new, clean sources of energy.
