Princess Mia - Greenpeace Patron and Romance Writer

I’ve certainly my share of pulp fiction, but somehow I missed out on The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. that ten (!) book young adult series chronicles the life of Princess Mia, who is a vegetarian for most of the series, and a fervent supporter of Greenpeace.

Apparently Princess Mia is additionally a writer*. Her first book, the “sensual medieval romance” Ransom My Heart, is certain to be a big hit with her legion of fans. And since she is not able to go out and ride the waves to protect whales herself, Princess Mia is donating a portion of the proceeds from

Ransom My Heart to Greenpeace.

Admit it. You’re as tempted as I am by that one. possibly it should be the first book in our green book club!

And just to bolster the green credentials of the Princess, the book is printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper from an FSC certified mill. See? Totally a green title.

*Yes, I know she’s fictional character, but I’m going along with the author’s conceit. It’s a cute concept!
