Oh Eco-Travel Baby!

Do you know eco-traveling parents with young children (maybe yourself)? They might fancy an eco-friendly Bon Voyage or Valentine’s Day gift from eco ike.
In 2007, Faith Moser launched the Pittsburgh-based green t’s and products company after her son Ike was born. The self-confessed ‘full-on earth worry-wart’ became even more passionate about the environment.
“eco ike is armed with a mission to inspire folks to go green and take care of our small world,” says Moser.
The company aims to use products that are natural, sweatshop-free and 100% fair trade and contributes 5% of its proceeds to environmental non-profit organizations.
“We’re proud to say that green is our thing,” says Moser. The
eco ike t-shirts, with slogans like “i’m organic” and “bee green”, are made with 100% organic cotton and water-based inks.Items are shipped without excess packaging and in recycled mailers. The company itself adheres to “rigid green stewardship” including recycling, energy efficiency measures and using environmentally safe cleaning supplies, products and appliances.
“inspire co-workers, family, neighbours and organizations to do their part,” says Moser. “You’ve heard it before but simple steps such as recycling (everything!), turning off potential when items are not used, conserving water and resources can have a huge impact. Do your part.”
