Book Review: The Renewable Energy Handbook

whether you’re interested in alternatives to the “grid” energy system we have become accustomed to the last few generations, you might want to check out William H. Kemp’s book entitled The Renewable Energy Handbook: A Guide to Rural Energy Independence, Off-Grid and Sustainable Living.

This book explains everything you’ve ever wanted to know (and soon after some) about creating your own energy. There’s info on solar, wind, hydro, biofuels and more. Plus, that book doesn’t just give you the info and thereupon leave, it gives practical applications for each. For instance,

it is said that one of the easiest beginner projects for solar energy is a hot water heater. that book shows you how to tackle that project and do it right. There are plus real-life examples from several folks who are living every day through renewable energy. They tell their stories and what has and has not worked for them.

Despite the fact that that book does get a bit technical, it provides ample of a spectrum of knowledge to keep it interesting as reading material, and additionally a wonderful reference.
