“Am I Green Or Not” lets others rate your greenitude

Does anyone remember that site, Am I Hot Or Not? humans would send in their photos, and any viewer could vote on the relative attractiveness of the person. It was kind of terrible, but riveting. Total trainwreck.

I suppose it was inevitable, with all of the judgmental finger pointing that goes on in the green movement, that that kind of social blackmail would find a green outlet.

Am I Green Or Not is a membership community, although you can vote without joining. The greenness of individuals, groups (like Greenpeace and the Bare Naked Ladies) and companies are all open to your green judgment.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Am I Green Or Not community doesn’t seem to think co-founders Elliott Kopstein and Kal Deutsch are particularly green.

fact, when I last checked they were both rated “Greenwashers” but I guess that’s what you risk when you try to “harness the wisdom of crowds” and judge who ” is REALLY green….and who is REALLY not!!!! ” (yes, all punctuation within quotes is sic.)

Well. That sword certainly cuts both ways. But whether Elliot and Kal are feeling down about the feedback, I recommend they take comfort in the immortal words of OG (Original Green) Kermit The Frog: It’s not easy being green.
