A handy reminder about keeping your spending green

When I’m doing a lot of entertaining, like at that date of year, I can get a little sloppy in my shopping. Things I usually stay away from, like Ruffles and Diet Coke, somehow invent it into my grocery cart. Not to mention the charcoal lighter fluid that I nearly bought before green heads prevailed!

Over at iVillage I just read a great list of seven things to think about when making a purchase. It’s all data you know — and things we talk about all the moment here — but it helped me to see it again all in one place. The essay is

Yes, every loner one of those is a no brainer, but it’s good to be reminded that every time you take out cash, credit cards or a checkbook, your decision can have a good or poor impact on the world around you. After all, the environment never gets a holiday from us.
